Prof. Sisirkana Dhar Choudhury

Prof. Sisirkana Dhar Choudhury (27 December 1937 – 9 March 2021) is a distinguished violinist throughout India and abroad. She received the prestigious Sangeet Natak Academy award. She is the author of the book “The Origin and Evolution of Violin as a Musical Instrument And Its Contribution to the Progressive Flow of Indian Classical Music.”

She also served as Dean at Ravindra Bharati University, Kolkotta, India. Under her guidance, Indradeep learned the intricacies of Hindustani violin music. He credits her for giving him a broad and comprehensive knowledge of Indian Music.

Vishnu Govind Jog

Vishnu Govind Jog, better known as V. G. Jog (22 February 1922 – 31 January 2004), was an Indian violinist. He was the foremost exponent of the violin in the Hindustani music tradition in the 20th century and is credited for popularizing this instrument in Hindustani music. Pandit Jog was awarded the Padma Bhushan.

Indradeep had the privilege to receive additional mentoring from Pandit Jog and has mastered various new techniques and fine-tuned his musical and performance styles.

Anamitra Mustafi

Anamitra Mustafi is Indradeep’s first Guru who is an established Violinist from Kolkotta, India, his teaching style was unique. His patience and focus on technique instilled a sense of discipline in him.

He was especially adept at teaching children and put a lot of effort into nurturing their talent. His special blend of music largely shaped Indradeep’s own musicality. Indradeep is particularly grateful to Pandit Mustafi for motivating him to pursue music at such a young age.
